Archive | Camano Owners’ Information Introducing…….The Pacific Northwest Source for Camano Trawlers

Built by Camano Yachts Ltd. and Bracewell Boatworks from 1990 through 2007, the remarkable Camano 31 trawler has remained in demand. Featuring consistently high quality, a proprietary, efficient hull design, and a practical, no-nonsense approach to comfortable cruising, nearly 270 Camano 31 models (Trolls and Gnomes) were purchased by an enthusiastic group of owners. The model now continues under the manufacture of Camano Yachts America.

The success of the Camano 31 provided the foundation for the Camano 41 – with extraordinary seakeeping characteristics and a roomy, luxurious interior. Bracewell Boatworks has adapted and updated the Camano 41 model, and is now producing the striking Bracewell 41.

John and Lynn Bowen of Ferndale, WA have purchased this red-hulled beauty and are closely monitoring its completion. They are knowledgeable boaters, and John has been a boat builder himself, so they’re contributing ideas and preferences from their experience, making this an enjoyable and exciting project for everyone involved.

18th Annual Camano Rendezvous!

This was the second year that Waterline Boats sponsored the Camano Rendezvous at Thetis Island, BC. But it was the 18th year that the Trolls and Gnomes got together!

We were very pleased by the great turn out! It was so nice to see returning rendezvous attendees and meet several new Camano owners!

An afternoon man overboard recovery drill and discussion was led by Camano 41 owner Dale Moses. We thank him and his assistant Oscar for an important safety demonstration.

Good times on a Camano 31 flybridge!

The sun has set, but that didn’t stop these Camano owners.

2009 Camano Rendezvous at Thetis Island, B.C.

2009 Camano Redndezvous 1The 17th Annual Camano Rendezvous was held at Thetis Island Marina July 10 – 12. With 27 boats involved, great weather, a lovely setting, and a number of first-time participants, the rendezvous was very enjoyable and an opportunity to share experiences and Camano information. A marine life Q&A by Andy Lamb, noted marine biologist and author of “Marine Life of the Pacific Northwest” (2005 by Harbour Publishing) provided new insights into our beautiful cruising grounds.

The 18th Annual Camano Rendezvous has been confirmed for the same location next year – July 9-11, 2010!
